A fairy tale and manga story all in one which makes for sone great stories and amazing artwork.
There once were two kingdoms, the Outside, where twisted black shadowy beasts roam the land and can curse anyone to turn into a monster with a simple touch. The other Kingdom, the Inside, is where humans live in safety and peace surrounded by walls that protect them from the curse.
While the Insiders and Outsiders are never suppose to meet, we follow the story of one outside monster that had found a little girl who had been abandoned. He takes her in and helps raise her but makes sure they never touch to avoid accidentally cursing her. The little girl, Shiva, and her guardian, teacher, as she affectionately calls him since he knows so much, show a beautiful bond between an outsider and insider that is so different than what their world expects and the story is full of charming moments that show that maybe we’re not all so different.
