This graphic novel is an adorable concept: the world has been split between light (insider) and dark (outsider). The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is the dark panels made it difficult to make out what was going on. I’m sure this is, at least in part, intentional. Now I need the next 11 volumes…

Tässä mangassa maailma on jakaantunut valoon ja varjoo. Muurin ulkopuolella, varjossa asuvat outsiderit ja sisäpuolella, valossa insiderit (vrt. Attack on Titan). Outsiderit voivat kosketuksesta tartuttaa pahuutensa insidereihin, jolloin heistä tulee kammottavia hirviöitä.
Mangassa seurataan pikkutytötn ja hirviön yhteiseloa. Tyttö odottaa tätiään tulevaksi, mutta hirviö, opettaja, tietää, ettei tämä välttämättä tule. He eivät voi koskettaa toisiaan, ja kun tyttö loukkaa nilkkansa, ei opettaja voikantaa häntä taloon, jonka he jakavat.
Opettajalla ei ole suuta eikä hän koskaan syö mitään. Silti hän tuntuu huolehtivan tytön päivitäisistä tarpeista, ruoasta ja lämmöstä. Muurien sisällä häntä kuitenkin pidetään hirviönä, joka tulee tuhota.

This is only book 1 but I'm intrigued to find out more about the storyline and the curse. The illustrations are beautiful and I enjoyed the relationship and interactions between Shiva and "teacher".
