This was so boring and edgy-just-to-be-edgy and unlikeable and BORING
I think we lost the main focus being the murders and finding the murderers and moved to the relationship between the mother and the daughter and turned it into a disturbing book. There were good elements but not enough.
I enjoyed the journey, I didn't enjoy the predictability...
This was extremely dark from start to finish, it was like in its own bubble of evil and the town was just completely vile and sucks all the goodness from anything and anyone. Because of how dark this was, this book probably will not be for everyone, there is no silver lining, it is just very very dark.
I really enjoyed the writing and this darkness that was created, when reading it just engulfed me and all I wanted to do was continue reading this book, I did not want to put it down.
Unfortunately though for me, as much as I loved the darkness, writing and pacing, the plot was rather predictable. It was written in such a way that everything was neatly set up and executed very flawlessly but because of this it was so obvious what had happened / who had done it. Which is rather disappointing for a thriller. Perhaps it is supposed to be predictable? I am not sure... but definitely brought the rating down to a 3.
