The entire world is terrible, everyone is unlikeable, why should I give a damn?
Although I really enjoyed the story of this book, it didn’t have the hook I was needing. After three times I finally finished the book and will say that the story was good, characters were believable, and the twist was unexpected.

I didn't find it as engaging as Gone Girl. It was disturbing too but in a way I couldn't relate to.

I'm quite torn about this as I really enjoyed the plot and the outcome, but didn't massively like the writing style and pacing. It was also quite uncomfortable and gritty at times but not in the way I enjoy for a thriller. I feel like you also don't really get to know the characters that well, even the main character who's POV we follow.
