4.5 Stars. I zoomed through this and enjoyed it so much. It has an eerie southern gothic timelessness to it and is fasted paced. I love the interwoven narrative of trauma, family, feminity, violence, and pain. Can't wait to read Gone Girl.
I wasn’t super into this book at the beginning but eventually got on board. Not my usual preferred genre per se, but I was definitely intrigued wanting know who committed the crimes. I changed my mind about who had done it at least five times and I was still wrong! Haha
Extremely dark and unsettling. I enjoyed it but was hoping I wouldn’t predict the twist at the end.
I did not like this book in the beginning. I guess it's because I hated the characters. I figured out the mystery before the book was over and .... I don't know what else to say.
