Sexual assault * singular POV * trilogy (within this larger series) * bully * possessive MMC * college * dark romance * enemies to lovers * lost memories * 362 pages

This one is technically book 1 of the Royal Elite series (the start of the Rina Kent universe). It happens a year or two after book 0 "Cruel King" and follows Elsa and Aiden, Levi’s cousin. Their story is a trilogy, so you’ll need to keep going to understand their dynamic fully—and trust me, you’ll want to because this one ends on a wild cliffhanger.

This book is dark. Like really dark. ⚠️ It deals with bullying, SA, and non-con elements, and while there are romantic sparks, it’s more disturbing than swoony. The tension between Elsa and Aiden makes you question—are they really lovers, or still enemies by the end? Honestly, it left me unsettled but hooked.

That said, I enjoyed it enough that the second I finished, I immediately picked up the next one because I need answers.

I just cannot get over the high school setting and this being so unrealistic, and the SA when the FMC was taking video evidence of her friend being SA'd by someone else

Interesting start to what looks like a 3 book story.  Aiden and Elsa are both attending RES.  Elsa lives with her aunt and uncle (which she oddly calls Aunt and Uncle rather than their names) after the death of both her parents.  For some unknown reason, Aiden hates her and has it out to destroy her life.  This is the story that builds the two characters in the present before getting down to the nitty gritty of who's who and why he's doing what he's doing.
