Not really my kind of book but I do understand the appeal. It was interesting but totally over the top.
Strong 3.5 star read!!!! I am so late to reading the Twisted series and had high expectations but I doubt I could give this book anything higher than 3.5 stars though, which makes me wonder about the readers that gave it five stars, what they got out of it that I didn't.... But a 3.5 star rating is still a strong rating for a book and I did enjoy it!!!!! Just not enough to rate higher.... I liked the twists it had, and when the first twist happened with Ana's memories coming back, and there was still 50% of the book left, I got very nervous, thinking "uh oh what else could happen." While the twists / twist villian could appear obvious at some points I still enjoyed that aspect of the book. I am NOT a fan of angst so the last 15 or so pages were frustrating, and in all honesty I think the smut / sex scenes could have been better written as well. Maybe I am just used to reading filth because they left me wanting more, and some of them even faded to black which was disappointing. I thought this was supposed to be a spicy book? I wonder if Ana Huang would take a break from romance and try to write a mystery thriller book, as the plot twists and ruthlessness of Alex were one of the main things I enjoyed, and the smut definitely needed some work. Maybe she should explore that genre more! All in all, a great start to the series and while this wasn't a five star book to me, I will still keep reading through the series.
Did my best on this recommendation from someone, but it’s wayyyyy too smutty for me in a way that made me blush, cringe, and laugh all at the same time. Had to call it quits.
