It was my first Batman comic book. It's short but really interesting.
The Joker, right?!

Not this guy. No. He really could have shaved off that mustache, btw. I mean it's not like it takes years to grow back or something.
Here we go!

Yes. That's the one.
Review to come.
Edit: Or maybe not. :-/
Presently I've got three of those RTCs. I will write a review of the other two, I promise. Not of this one though.
I don't think it was the right time for me personally to pick up this book. I'm a huge fan of Batman. But that's only stemming from my love for the movies, not the comics. In fact, this was my first Batman comic and it wasn't the right choice.
My rating (more 2.5 stars really) reflects my level of enjoyment. But I had the distinct feeling I couldn't appreciate this book the way I should and probably would have, if I'd read some other Batman comics before.
There's some important stuff happening here, to several characters. I just wasn't as invested as the seasoned Batman reader will likely be. So it didn't give me all the feels, which it probably should have done.
I spoke about it with a friend some time ago. And she said to me I should wait a few years and then come back to it.
And that's what I'm going to do.

My first Batman comic/graphic novel, and I definitely wasn't disappointed. This particular edition had plenty of extras, which was worth the extra price and insight. I loved the art at the end.
As far as the story goes, I understand why it's regarded as one of the best stories set in Gotham. Despite possibly not being the real Joker origin store, I still loved getting to see it. I wish we had spent more time at the carnival, but that's a personal bias since I love that setting. The artwork was deeply disturbing in the best way possible. I look forward to reading more from this universe in the future.
