Imagine a more modern and science based Stepford Wives and that is this book. 10/10 Will read again.

So many eye rolls reading this one! First off, the main character is so annoying and is truly a terrible person. Her inner dialogue also goes on and on and on and on. The book is boring, repetitive, contrived, and it exists in a non-believable world. There are more plot holes than maybe I’ve ever seen in a book, and the author doesn’t even bother trying to write a world where the unethical science makes sense. To make matters worse, the characters make the stupidest decisions throughout the book, and they fail to see the simple alternative options staring them right in the face.

This is a premise I would normally love, but this book is just not done well.

A compelling concept that fell flat. Evelyn is an award winning scientist. She makes and researches clones. I went into this book pretty much blind, but I just read the blurb here on good reads and it gives away the best parts. Evelyn's husband is cheating on her with a clone. When the clone calls on Evelyn because the cheating bastard is dead, they form an unlikely friendship.

The writing was so stilted and bland for such an interesting science fiction concept. It was incredibly detached. I just couldn't feel much for the characters. With better writing it could have been stellar.
