You know that feeling when you get to the end of the story but there are still a ton of pages left... But that's only because the author did a great job leaving holes that you didn't even realize were there?

I love books that subvert expectations :-)

Fun but can’t tell how much of me liking it was familiarity with New Haven. Didn’t like it enough to seek out the sequel.

How do you describe the Ninth House? To be honest, I almost gave up on reading this book because all the time jumps were hard to keep up with during the first portion. By about the midway point, I finally got the hang of it, and details started clicking together.

Needless to say, I am done with this one and SO MAD I don't have the next book in my possession (see what I did there LOL) to jump into immediately. I cannot wait to see if Alex and her crew of misfits can accomplish their goals in the next book—also, I kind of hope we aren't done with the Bridegroom.
