Stuck between a 3.5-4; I’m not sure I would I would recommend it to anyone, but I also don’t regret spending the time reading it. There was some unnecessary extra-ness and dramatics which is be expected in a suspense novel.

I hate to DNF a book, but I have struggled getting through this one for days, and I had such high hopes. I posted in a book group asking opinions and everyone said to just stop, that it wasn't worth trudging through and wasting my time. The first few chapters really gripped me and then all of a sudden it was flat and boring, like a complete switch.

4/5 stars. Love this author and her real portrayal of females in thrillers. Started reading while watching along in the Netflix series. I definitely came to understand more of what was happening in the show with the book background, but also, the book more fully develops some of the characters.

I feel like at around the halfway point or so, this plot just went over my head. I listened to the audiobook and had to listen to chapters over and over to make sure I could wrap my head around what was going on. There were important details throughout the book that were integral to the plot so you really have to be sure not to miss them. Overall I liked the story, I just feel it was a bit all over the place. It was also realllyyyyy long. At times it felt like a slog.
Enjoyable. Good twists and turns. The pacing changed towards the end and was a little distracting; I thought it made the end feel very different than the rest of the novel. But overall, a good story.
