So good! The dual timeline was perfectly done and each chapter ended on a little cliffhanger that kept me turning pages. The character development and twists & turns made this book so solid! I really loved how strong and determined Laura was and how fiercely she protected Andy.

I'm not quite sure what this book was trying to achieve. Although I liked the writing and flew through the book, I just can't figure out what this was meant to be/do. Was it meant to be a mystery? Because the entire plot was so easy to guess, even 60 pages in. Was it meant to be a thriller? Because it wasn't that suspenseful/scary either. I'll definitely check out other Karin Slaughter books, but this one missed the mark for me. Not a bad read at all, but not a very good one either.

also, there was no need for using the f-slur multiple times throughout the book. thanks.

The plot is incredibly easy to guess, especially if you have watched a certain episode of

Just wasn't getting into it at the time. Will probably try it again some time later on.

Spannend! Even wennen aan de twee verschillende tijdsframes. Lekker boek.

Gruesome imagery at some points that really helped pain a picture. Overall pretty ok, I was frustrated with Andy so much at times and I guessed the major twists. Ending was a let down

The plot was a bit intricate but unfolded nicely. The pace was not too fast but not too slow. I am not sure why this book gets mixed reviews. I loved it!

I usually don’t love long books, but I felt the length was totally justifiable. I loved getting both stories past and present simultaneously, and I felt connected to the storyline and the main characters. I loved guessing how the past and present would meet, and the epilogue pulled it all together. Didn’t love that the chapters were so long.
