Huge disappointment. I usually really enjoy Karin Slaughter. The characters are terrible. Maybe if Andy had a head injury to explain her actions that would have helped.

I ended up liking the backstory of the mom, but in the middle of the book the transition between present and past didn't feel smooth, like it was a different book. There was a lot of backstory that maybe wasn't necessary, but overall good.
Kept me on the edge of my seat from the first chapter. You never know what's about to happen. I definitely had a hard time putting this one down.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the beginning, then the middle slowed down for me and I had everything figured out way too early. I gave it 4 stars because it was very well written, but I was a little disappointed overall, especially with all the hype surrounding this right now.
