Beautiful artwork with a familiar story, it wasn't anything special but reading it was a nice way to spend a couple hours. Love the original book so much

The story was a little skippy (luckily I read the book already), but I didn't mind too much, and the art was beautiful!
Graphic: Death, Blood, Murder
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship
Beautifully drawn. It reminded me of Vampire Hunter D style and I love it. The story is pretty much the same as in the book as in the movie with a few added insights into Claudia's mind, but too little. The only reason it didn't receive 5 stars.

Forget Twilight for a child vampire - Claudia is the real deal. I suppose this graphic novel could work well as an introduction to The Vampire Chronicles, but I think having read the original book by Anne Rice makes this adaptation the most enjoyable. The art and color scheme used throughout the pages is magnificent. The whole book consists of Claudia's thoughts and character dialogue. I've read about the first 4 books in the actual series and has fun checking into the first volume from Claudia's perspective. Sure, events and characters' motivations are left out, but that's because Claudia was treated as a child forever based on her appearance. I'd recommend this to any fan of the series or someone who is curious about it but unsure. The graphic novel could work as a good teaser for the first book.
