Disclaimer: I'm rating this as a graphic novel and not at the same level that I might rate a text heavy novel.
I really enjoyed reading from Claudia’s point of view and the accompanying visuals were beautiful. The only reason I wouldn’t rate it 5/5 is because it basically just repeats the events of the Interview with the Vampire novel, there is not necessarily anything new being brought to the table. However, I still highly recommend this for anyone who is a fan of Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles series. Especially if Claudia is your favourite character — this book is a must have!

My toxic trait is I enjoyed this more than the original. Probably because Louis and his whining about good and evil gets really old really fast. Claudia on the other hand is a tragic antiheroine if there’s such a thing.
I don’t think you’re really getting anything new here though so it’s probably more of a novelty than anything else, you know? If you read the novel you know ever beat of this and Claudia in her own words adds little to nothing to it. The artwork is very pretty at times though.

A beautiful addition to Anne Rice’s beloved classic, told from the perspective of one of her most tragic characters, Claudia, in stunningly beautiful graphic novel.
I lost interest in this everytime I opened it. The art and premise was interesting, it just bored me and I struggled through it.
It doesn’t help that I just read the same book from a different pov so it felt very repetitive to me.

This was an awesome intro to Graphic Novels. Since I loved Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice this story was bitter sweet because it was little Claudia's POV.
All I can say is that Interview with a Vampire fans should read this novel.

Beautiful art to accompany what is essentially a fanart retelling of IWTV from Claudia's point of view. However, there was no deep delve here; Claudia's inner monologue wasn't really any more illuminating than her dialogue in the actual novel. Many of the visuals for the scenes seemed taken right from the movie, which isn't a bad thing, just an observation. The thing that really really bothered me though was Louis' apparent insistence on knickers long after their time had passed. Trousers, Louis, trousers. It was a minor historical inaccuracy that bothered me on every page.
