I would categorize this as one of Elin’s quirkier books. The plot is a little Parent Trap and a little Mamma Mia?? I loved the scenes in the ERF boutique- that just sucked me in for whatever reason. However, I HATE Tabitha. She is so awful, petty, and mean- spirited. And don’t get me going on her bratty ass little twit of a daughter. Tbh Harper shouldn’t have forgiven her!!! Bye!

Transported once again to Nantucket, this time with some Martha’s Vineyard mixed in! Perfect spring into summer book

Really disliked this book. I'm not above saying this is a terrible story with no redeeming qualities, it was not even slightly entertaining.

The plot was bizarre and a lot of the stuff that happens just doesn't make sense. There is like a 15-year-long conflict in this story that is supposedly resolved when one character basically gets them in a room and tells them to hug each other. All the characters sucked and this is supposed to be justified with the "silly humans and what we will do for love and desire" thing but like no?? The worst character of all was Tabitha, who tries to trick her twin sister's partner into having sex with her but stops herself right before it happens. Like you are a 40-year-old woman and you came that close to doing that?? But because her son died as a baby, we are supposed to be sympathetic towards her.

This book is also not a romance in the slightest. One of the romances begins before the book even starts. The other takes no build up and they basically get together after a single drunken night and suddenly are in love.

The more I sit and think, the more absolutely confused I feel towards this book and its plot.

I had a love, dislike, love relationship with this book. I started to get irritated when I thought it was going down the Parent Trap road, but it righted itself after a few chapters. I really didn't like that a 39 year old character called her mother 'mommy' but other than those two issues, it was a fun easy read.
