Cute story, like grown up parent trap. I liked it!

Chick lit- summer read

3.5 stars // it’s exactly what you’d expect from an Elin book. Family drama, secrets, affairs, and love. This one had a The Parent Trap vibe with two identical sisters, Tabitha & Harper, having to live and grow up with one parent when the parents divorce. Once in their adulthood, a tragedy happens to Tabitha that causes the sisters to drift apart for a long time. Their father dies and this starts the dominoes of so much drama, but also the pieces that start to come together that will bring them back to each other.

Not good. Not short. Not enough character development.
Most of her books are page turners, quick, and with fantastic character development. This one had characters described by their jobs - the doctor, the cop, the contractor. And the women's names were long, flowy, and all blended together. Skip this book, read her others. The others are good!

Sometimes you’re craving a booking only the queen of the beach read can deliver. And this book definitely satisfied that craving! It wasn’t my favorite by her (a lot of adults turning their phone off & refusing even basic communication—my pet peeve) but each character arc was very satisfying.

One big issue I had though: SO much casual drunk driving. I felt like every character was getting black out and getting behind the wheel every other chapter.

Loved this book!!! I wish there was a second one or a whole series bc I loved the characters and the ending feels so fast we need more!!

An easy read for the beach. I was interested in, but not invested in the outcome of the story. Some very good moments between mothers and daughters.
