Such an easy read. It had me hooked from the first page. Crazy to see into a lifestyle that I know nothing about.
This book put you on the Shoulders of Nikki Sixx on his downward spiral and gives you a look at these people we idolize from an angle we never really see. It was insightful.

He takes no accountability for jokingly ordering sex workers in Nazi gear as a prank and other problematic behaviors. Addiction doesn’t excuse problematic behaviors sincerely someone in recovery
What an amazing story! Most recovering addicts struggle with explaining where their mind was while they were high. Nikki shared his diaries from the 80's so we could get a glimpse of what he was going through both mentally and physically.
4 Stars though I read it in 2011
One of the best formats I read, the art inside perfectly reflects Nikki's mental state at the time
Also, one of my favourite albums (and underrated band) of all time

This is probably a three star book at most, but the story of Slash's girlfriend saving Nikki Sixx's life earns it an extra star.
It's not as good as The Dirt, but it's a great companion piece. I'd still recommend reading The Dirt first (if you're into the topic), and then if you want more, check this out.

I read this book years ago and I can’t remember most of what happened because though it’s very artistic, it’s too artistic in the sense that there’s WAY too much on each page. Plus the mix of black, grey, red, and white text/color pages hurt my eyes.
