Nikki definitely has some interesting stories to tell and quite a huge ego. (Money for Nothing was written about him?) But still a no holds barred look at his life during his worst stages of addiction.
As far as his Motley Crue stories I liked “The Dirt” much better - as all band members took part in that book.

Cautionary Tale... But remember just because Nikki survived this madness doesn't mean you will - if you choose to go down his path.
A dark and twisted ride through hell. The ride may seem glamorous but it isn't what it seems. Its not for the timid but this should be read.
I don't believe for a minute that this book was truly Nikki Sixx's diary entries from 1987, that would be too convenient. That said, this was a great book to read on the beach, total twisted rock and roll debauchery.

Among the most important books in my library. My second time through, but this time on audio so Nikki read it to me. Absolutely incredible. And if you like the book at all, The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack by Sixx AM cannot be missed either. Keep in mind I say this from the perspective of 1) a Crue fan from way back, and 2) someone who has struggled greatly with addiction. If those two descriptors fit you, then don’t miss this book.
