4.5/5 stars. I found this book to be rather amazing and, dare I say, relatable. I know how odd that sounds considering it’s about an actually prince and I am not any sort of royalty, but family conflict, life, death, trauma, elation, true love, passion, the desire to make something of one’s life: these are all universal and while this book was at times a tad droll, all in all, it was a fascinating read and I have been thinking about it since I finished it.
Now if someone would just want to purchase my dysfunctional family story and turn it into a multi-million dollar book deal! Hahaha!
But honestly, I sincerely hope the best for everyone mentioned in this book and I hope they can find some peace.

Loved!! The book is split between three sections. The first and third section were wonderful, the second didn't hold my attention as well. Very happy to see Harry has left the Royal Family after reading this.
Wasn’t sure how much I would like this but I loved it. So well written and eye opening -atleast for someone who doesn’t really follow the royal world. Prince Harry is way cooler than I ever thought.
The story itself is great, I think a lot of people can relate to wanting a better life for themselves. I wasn’t a fan of the short chapters and every chapter seemed to end so abruptly!

I‘m amazed to say: I really enjoyed this book (or the audio book). I loved the many small, detailed-rich stories that pull together the bigger picture and illustrate a journey worth sharing. A story with many up and downs. I‘m sure the account is not objective but it comes across as very authentic. Many kudus to the writer - I guess mostly J. R. Moehringer: The style is amazing.
As a side note: As many of the facts in the book are disputed it‘s worth checking out the Wikipedia article on it for some more background information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spare_(memoir)
