I'm sure this story is more riveting if you are unaware of the twist. Unfortunately, I've seen the episode of "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Still an interesting story.

I see why this book has such as big popular culture influence, however the book overall isn't a very captivating read. The twist being common knowledge takes away some of the suspense, (though it's not the books fault). The writing style isn't my favorite and kind of made It hard to get through to me. I still enjoyed the book, and I apprentice that influence that it had on future science fiction/fantasy work.
