I don't have too much to say on the second book other than it wasn't a disappointment, which some sequels can be. I still love Galen and Emma a whole bunch and loved to see them continue to grow with each other. The storyline progressed nicely and continued to keep my interest. I especially liked the personal growth of Emma and her strength. Justice was served! Woo! But there was also a very sad death that surprised me in how much it got to me.
Still, for sure, Recommend it!

I liked all the action and drama packed into the second book. From the moment I picked it up till the ending nothing was certain and I kept wanting to know more of what was going to happen. Still, some of the diction used in the book was clearly for the younger crowd such as "shizzle" and "shanked." Sorry but I can't get around the fact that some of those words were written especially as a YA novel- the younger generation needs better vocabulary! Overall I enjoyed it and it kept me on my toes, now on to the last book.
Unfortunately quite often nowadays I find myself wondering whilst reading a book when it will end. Not how it will end. No, because most are formulaic and I know it'll end nicely with a big, perfect bow on top (which, honestly, I love because who doesn't like HEAs?). This was one that I was wondering when it will end.
Thoughts I had while reading this book:

How much longer do I have until I can stop reading this book about an annoying main character that everyone is in love with and wondrously drawn to? How much longer do I have to endure this strange switching between 1st(aforementioned annoying main character)and 3rd (also annoyingly "perfect" male MC)person? Can I make it to the end of the book and also read another one after it about these very same characters that I don't particularly like? Why does it feel like I'm reading a mermaid (sorry, "Syrena") version of Twilight?

Can I make it through this???
Answer:

Then it hit me. I have a "dnf" folder for this very reason. Nothing is making me read and finish this series. Nothing. I'm free! Into the dnf this goes.

I thought the pace of this book was pretty good and the POV tense that slightly annoyed me in the first book wasn't as obvious. I did think it kind of headed on a blah. I'm not sure what a third novel would be about and hope it's not a case of squeezing a third book out of something that really should just have two.
This is better than the first book! 4.5/5 stars! But since good reads doesn't have a .5 mark, I'd give it a 5! This is a great, thrilling, quick read for everyone. Oh the great joy! I wish I had my own Galen. He's nothing but a sweet young Syrena prince with great power. Definitely enjoying this trilogy. I can't wait to start on the third book... though this one would have been a great conclusion! :)
fast-paced
Though this was not as good as the first one, I still loved it. I read really quickly without much effort..... Read these books, they are REALLY GOOD!
All the characters (except for Galen) really stepped it up in this book. Well done.
I really really enjoyed this book. I've been trying to find this book everywhere and am so thankful I finally got my hands on it. This is exactly what I wanted it to be. No disappointments from me. I wished it could be a little but longer though. Love Galen and Emma together and I'm hoping there will be a third book in this series!
This is so cute, seriously. It's nothing special but at the same time I can't help but keep reading. It makes me smile! I'm not sure where it can go from here so I guess the only way to find out is to move onto book 3!
