I think that Of Triton could have had more potential, but for me, the story fell a little short. The plot was kind of just... filler and fluff, and huge parts of Emma's POVs had nearly no relevance to the story at all. The ending is fairly wrapped up, though, and since we only know about Poseidon and Triton gifts, it'll be interesting to see how Neptune comes into play in the last book.
**Warning: this text may contain spoilers** Painfully predictable, poor writing. Plus this book includes fat shaming! Typically all the main characters are beautiful and thin (females) or super ripped and sexy (males) and this gives the Banks an excuse to fat shame. COOL! If I couldn't speed up the audiobook reading speed I would not have finished this book. Definitely done with the series.
I was so excited to get my hands on this book. After finishing Of Poseidon I was really getting impatient. I needed to know what happened. Like, immediately.
Anyway, it was just as great as the first book was. And now I have to wait for the third book. Oh boy.

So sad to know that Rachel is dead. But I can't wait for the next book. (:
Fish sarcasm just may be my new favourite thing to read. Seriously, the number of times I chuckled over one liners, especially from Emma, was uncountable. This was a good read, and the characters were once again great. The plot, however, suffered from second book syndrome. Much of the book is narration of a tribunal, and thus somewhat dry. Something I really noticed in this one was the lack of actual swearing. Anytime someone curses they use an undersea equivalent (like fan-flippin'-tastic). Sometimes this had me laughing at the brilliance, other times it caused eye-rolls.
I did not think this one was as good as the first, but it was still a good read.
There was a lot more going on in this book. I liked it way better. The only reason I continued was because of the twist ending of the first book. This book followed through with that twist and honestly, gave me what I wanted. It seems more of a conclusion but there is another book.
