I still love Emma and Galen. Her mom was annoying though. It was ok but I wish there was more Emma and Galen in it can't wait for the last book.
I'm really enjoying this "wave" of teen mermaid books. ;)I look forward to the 3rd book in this series. Thanks Anna Banks for another great read.
This book was good but going from Queen of Shadows to this was not the best idea.
Ehhh. It wasn't as good as the first one. The plot seemed simpler and had less depth.
Of Triton is the sequel to Of Poseidon. It was well written and didn't take very long to read. Of Triton takes off right where the last book left off.
This book had a lot of really great twists and turns, and the characters really showed some growth. So, not only did we get a lot of surprises in this books, you also got to learn more about the histories and laws surrounding the house of Triton and Poseidon. We also got a lot of great moments with Galen and Emma!! I can't wait to read what happens next!

I'm sorry but the face that Grom and Galen are brothers, Grom is in love with Emma's mom, and Emma and Galen are together? I know that the Syrena live long lives, but this is too much of a tangled mess for me to wrap my head around. Also the fact that Emma's mom suddenly starts acting like a petulant teenager () when she's always been a motherly figure during the 1st book was such a strange change that bothered me throughout the story.

I still keep remembering the last line from of Poseidon.... I didn't realise (yes, I know I spell it like I'm in Britain, but I'm not...) how much time had passed in Of Poseidon. Again, to issues: 1. Rachel dying. My poor little Galen.... 2. Toraf almost dying. I didn't think that Gift of Triton would split between Rayna and Galen; I thought just Galen was special. Which Gift will Galen and Emma's fingerlings get? Paca and Jagen really annoy me. I feel like Emma's rage at her mom and Grom was stupid; it's not like her mom knew Grom was alive, if she did she would have been with him the whole tome. I personally though that Grom and Nalia were adorable. So were Rayna and Toraf and Emma and Galen. I thought for a minute that the Council wasn't going to let them have what they wanted. It also made me mad when Galen thought Toraf was a traitor. Um, bye for now. I don't know what else to say....
I seriously can't get enough of this series. This book had plenty of drama, friendship, and romance in it. I loved it. You really get to see Galen and Emma's relationship develop. Everything you learned in the first book also comes into play and makes more sense in the second book. I love Galen's personality. He loves Emma unconditionally. Such a great read! I read the sea monsters memoir series before this and if you haven't read that series and you liked this one, you will love that one! But this was an amazing book.

I liked this one better than the first one. The issues in Of Poseidon have been resolved except for a few lines which didn't seem natural to me. Loved the opening scenes and became a huge fan of Nalia from the get go. Mermaid or not, nothing hurts her baby cub (or should I say fingerling). Since the world was already built in the first book, this one seemed to be about action. I loved the tribunal scenes and cheered at the point where a confident and rational Grom takes the stage. I am not sure where she will be headed in the third book since most everything was wrapped up nice and tidy, but I look forward to more.
