I'll be honest when I first started this book I was sure it was going to end up as a book I didn't finish. I decided to give it a little more time before giving up and I'm glad I did. This book talks about hitting rock bottom and then slowly climbing out of ot and living life again with a little help from unexpected people, like random people at a wedding you weren't invited to!

I think there were things to like about this book but its not really my cup of tea. I found all the characters extremely 1 dimensional. It's ironic to me how Phoebe can get cheated on and then show up to a wedding, befriend the bride to the point of being the maid of honor and be pining after the groom the whole time- as if that's not completely hypocritical of her. Then after all of that to take her cheating husband back for one night. Jesus christ. Lila was the most 1 dimentional of all. The author portrayed her like she was 16 years old. I understand she was supposed to be spoiled and self absorbed but I really don't think anyone would react to Phoebe saying she was going to kill herself the way Lila did. Her immaturity at 28 was absolutely unbearable to read, and honestly, unrealistic. Finally, the author tried really hard to make things "kinky" and "sexy" and it was an absolute flop in my opinion.

I really loved this book. It just made me feel good. I didn't know what to think going in,  it started off one way and ended up another way.  I loved that this book was about being authentic,  and overcoming what you think you can't.  I laughed out loud,  I was near tears at some parts and I was so happy with the ending. I wouldn't mind a part two. Phoebe is awesome. I would love to see her friendship with Lila even a year later.
