I really loved this book. Really well written and the mystery of how they all connected was really great. I had slightly issue with keeping the family tree in order with so many female characters, but it was explained really well at the end of the book and it left me feeling content.

I love stories that intertwine multiple narratives, and this one gets extra love for being set in the garden. I listened to this book in two days. I'd love to read more books like this.

This is probably my favorite historical fiction book that I've read in the past two or three years. The story was engaging. I loved the balance of the present-day story to the story in the past. I thought the dual timeline was balanced well. I loved the descriptive details without being over the top details that were redundant and not needed. This is a well-detailed book without being detail for the sake of detail vs detail with purpose which can be difficult to balance. The characters were fun to read about and easy to connect to. You end the book feeling like you've met them in real life.

This book was very fun to listen to! I listened on an audio book and it was so easy to get wrapped in the plot. It’s about different generations of women all connected by the same garden
At the height of the plot there were some very sad and very happy moments for the different characters. I almost cried at work a few times.
As an American I don’t really think about WW II affecting the regular British people so that was an interesting POV.
I think the first part from each character was a little slow for me but after I got more into the characters the pace sped up a lot more
