This was a hot story! Full of hot sexy times with the dom/sub front and center. I really enjoyed Tark and Eva. Eva is joining the program under a false identity in order to stay alive long enough to testify but she is not expecting for the matching program to work so well. Tark and Eva definitely have some work to do in understanding and learning each other and where they each came from. It causes some misunderstandings early on. Tark loves Eva’s feistiness though even while showing her that he is in charge.I really enjoyed the story and can’t wait for more.

I liked it, but I didn't love it. The spice was good, if a little rough for my tastes.  I liked the descriptions of the planet and the culture that the main character found herself suddenly in. The male lead has some excellent personality growth moments and I enjoy his interactions with other members of his Council/staff and ensuring respect of his new female mate.

There is A LOT of spanking. But you already know that from reading the back of the book.

Interesting concept and series!

I really liked this book! I liked the writing and the storyline. Great concept and flow of story. The chemistry of Eva and Tark is off the charts. When Eva shines with her medical skills it was an epic part in the book. I felt the series is definitely great start and I am eager to read more!!

I've read similar Alien Bride books and I do like that this is short but still gives you a bigger picture of the worlds, the people and each Bride have their own twist to the books.

Eva is an ER doctor who witnessed a murder and is now in witsec. She is being sent off planet as an interstellar bride to keep her safe, but secretly has an implant to return her to Earth for the trial so she can testify. She is given an identity of a murderer and matched with Tark, the High Counselor of Trion. Trion adorns their women with jewels from their nipple piercings and ceremonially fucks them over what sounds like a spanking bench. He has Eva call him Master and requires her submission. When she is too outspoken, he punishes her with a spanking and then with stim balls that are inserted vaginally but he can control remotely. Eva is then taken to the “harem” to be kept safe but another woman there, Mara, lies and tells her that the harem is Tark’s. In reality, the harem is the group of women who are mates to the various men. They clear up that misunderstanding and then Eva shows her medical skill after an attack on a convoy. Tark refuses to believe she is a killer after that, and she tells him the truth and then they make love. She is promptly removed back to Earth, where 4 months had passed during the 3 days on Trion. She is placed back in witsec and finally, after weeks, convinced them to send her back to Tark. She finds out she is pregnant when she’s being examined for transport.

Sweet story full of BDSM elements. Lots of vibrating toys and accessories. Eva is a strong woman and finds relief giving up control to Tark during sexual play. Narrators were pretty good. Dual narration slightly jarring.

Eva is imprisoned by the FBI and sent to another planet (through the IBP) to hide away as she is the witness to a murder, until the trial. She, however, meets her match and high councilor Tark and her fall in love in like 3 days (after he basically demands it of her) until she is torn away from that planet to return to Earth. I really disliked this one. it was pretty gross.
