The first scene is a raunchy, almost nonconsensual sex scene. I don't get the BDSM thing but that's probably because I don't have a submissive bone in me and think it's creepy and abusive. I love smut; don't get me wrong but not when it's the entire book.

Another audiobook. I really do find the kinkest audio books through my library.....lol
Not the worst but I didn't really enjoy it much either. If it had been a book I was reading I'm not sure I would have finished it. Audio books are a bit easier for me to finish while doing other things even if I'm not loving it that much. That said maybe I would have liked it better as a regular book. I was not a fan of the voices of the male or female narrators on the audio book. Just a personal preference thing, I'm kind of weird with voices sometimes.
I really liked the background idea of the book, of the interstellar brides program. It sounded really cool, the world building was good, the hero was my cup of tea physically but I think the book overall was way too BDSM for me. I'm really not into the master title and it was used and talked about way too much for my personal preference.
Also way too much p*ssy. lol I swear it was like every other word. I've never found it to be a sexy word and especially hearing it in an audio book constantly made me cringe every time I heard it.
Also not much romance going on, mostly just lots of kink. But that might be just perfect for someone else.

There's barely a plot and a thin one at that. It open and closes with sex scenes. Really nothing to be found but bondage, spankies with some anal play and all of that was pretty vanilla.
It was good to read where this series all started after first discovering Goodwin's work with the Planet Everis books! This book was really good, main couple worked well together, the steamy scenes were incredible and I finished it with a massive smile on my face!

I almost didn't finish this one. I only did because it was on audio and I could do other stuff in the mean time.
It started out ok but it was way too long to not have any action in it at all. It got pretty boring after the first hour - hour and a half. Had it been shorter I would have rated it higher.

This was good! I viewed it more as a novella because of its length so I wasn’t expecting lots of worldbuilding and character development, which was helpful. Short and very spicy. There was just enough story to be interesting.
