a character study primarily aimed at those those who already love the character in question: which i do! i wish that there was a bit more to it than just that, though, as i don't feel as if it offered much of anything i couldn't have found in multiples by simply searching through ao3. but i did have a lot of fun overall (it saved me from the longest, most harrowing travel day of my life), and i especially loved every instance of cardan interacting with the human world - it was so endearingly amusing. also, i am glad to report that both cardan and jude are as dear to me as ever. i love how in awe of her he is (as is only right).

Having a heart is terrible, but you need one anyway.

I absolutely loved reading from Cardan's POV and I noticed that that was exactly what was missing in the Folk of the Air trilogy. I wish I could read more about his life, emotions and thoughts but this is sadly all I will get
