I first became interested in Tom Fletcher many years ago when I discovered his band McFly and I was thrilled when he started writing books. I find his writing style to be funny, engaging and thoughtful. He writes books destined to be modern day classics that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. I am reviewing this book based on an ARC received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest opinion.

this was honestly a really nice and pleasant festive story! i started reading it a couple days before christmas day when i didn’t feel that festive and it made me feel so much more christmassy! i think i’m gonna re-read it each year for christmas as it’s such an easy christmas book to get through. i had to remind myself a few times that i was reading a children’s book especially during some very unrealistic bits that made me roll my eyes. but i had a nice time reading this book as my last read of the year

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I know it will be a Christmas story I'd want to read again and again. It was festive and magical, and also had some deeper and more meaningful topics. I thought Tom mixed it in a wonderful way.
