For the love of all the gods, I was not anticipating this book to be a 5 star read for me. Alas, here we are. I fell in love with this book, and I am frothing at the mouth for the next one!
this was a typical romantasy style book and it's exactly what I needed it to be. The average girl who holds the answer and power to everything and a brooding morally grey male main character. There were fae and vampires and humans and I liked the plot that seems a little chaotic, but overall had a storyline and characters that I really enjoyed. There were some funny side characters and a little spice. I thought the ending was great and I'm ready for book two to come out!

Starts slowly, but it's well written.
I have been desperate to read this for months and it didn’t disappoint. I listened on audible as I’m not usually a hardback fan and wanted to read it. I’d heard the audiobook was good so gave it a try. I love Kingfisher . He’s a “touch her and die” MMC. I also loved Carion Swift for the comedic additions. I wasn’t keen on the accent of Ren as I couldn’t work out if he was Russian or Scottish and it did ruin it a bit !!
Now I’m left on a cliffhanger . Help !!!
