I like this Tintin adventure in which the threat of the end of the world introduces the album by setting the appropriate science fiction tone. Already, one more star in the Big Dipper is not trivial, and the scene of the tar melting to the point of sticking to the shoes completes this stifling nocturnal atmosphere.
And then, the sea, the boat (the Aurora), in search of the asteroid, Tintin prey to explosive mushrooms and the spider, which becomes gigantic, like all this story that I appreciated as a child and remains timeless.

3.40 - Mediocre
Prancing plotline that barely shows signs of creativity. Low stakes. Whacky attempts of sabotage. Lacks scientific backing. Laid back dialogue.

Snuck in another quick treat today.
Snowy aka Filou, has some great lines in this one and gave me some good laughs.

One of the lighter Tintin books (not that Tintin is ever exactly dark, but there are no racial issues here or even much in the crime department, and there's quite a lot of humour).
The plot is little slow in the middle, but the finale is a spectacle to behold!
