The book I have has 3 in 1, so I read this after I finished Crab. This was never one of my very favourites although it does have its moments (the seasickness sequence=brilliant). I guess it bordered on being too fantastical for me without plausible explanations: WHY did this new metal make everything grow to monstrous size? And why were Tintin and Snowy not thus affected?

Le début est assez loufoque et m'a bien fait rire surtout avec le personnage du prophète.

Short quick adventure in the Arctic. The science was silly. But the adventure was pretty well done. Given how many apples we got, you think there would have been more spiders. This one felt a bit shorter, maybe because it was fast moving. Our captain apparently is now a recurring character, though a bit less drunk.
Very different from previous Tintins, and very bizarro.
