This is such a sprawling story, for better or worse. Was there a little too much detail? Probably. Could it have been shorter and more focused? Probably. But the book was incredibly engrossing. There were a few genres in this book which made chapters feel distinct and keep things interesting. I need a breather before starting the next book but I will be starting it, eventually.

Gods this was great. Such an immersive universe and characters that are in-depth. This is most definitely one of my favourite books of all time.

The galaxy of this story actually feels real, the aliens feel unique and interesting. The story was a great ride, that was slightly slow at parts but was great to experience. Some negative aspects but still great.
