Coming Soon :)

I had to do this for school. I still enjoyed it. The characters were lovable, the plot fast-paced, and there was the perfect amount of heartbreak. I love this novel.

Okay this was such a good book! I’m so happy my English teacher made us read it

This book was absolutely beautiful.

I am surprised that I never had to read this book for school. But I am truly not upset about it because I don't know if it would've hit the same way then than it did now.

I picked up this book on a whim when I needed an audio book to listen to. However, I immediately had to pause the audiobook to start highlighting in my physical copy because I had immediately fallen in love with these characters. S.E Hinton did such an incredible job of creating and introducing these characters that feel so real and find ways into your heart. I didn't even realise how deeply this book had affected me until I started crying mid-read. And once I finished the book, I closed it and I just sat there and cried for another twenty. I don't know how this book managed to make me feel so much and so deeply but it was such a special experience.

I got to talking about this book with my dad who read it 30 years ago and still remembered the exact story and got excited talking about it with me. The fact that this book was written almost 60 years ago and two people from very different generations, raised in different circumstances at different times in their lives still holds relevance just proves that this book truly is timeless.

i know i'm obviously not the target audience for this, most people read it as a teenager/young adult. and MAYBE i would have felt differently about it if i had read it at that age. i didn't think anyone matured enough mentally for it to be as hard-hitting as people make it out to be. people also say the characters are so memorable, but i think i'll forget about them almost immediately. i think the movie maybe helps with that a little bit. i appreciate this book for existing and being what it is for so many people, i'm just not one of them!
