It was ok, the story jumped around a bit at first and was hard to follow so I was like "oh she must be a new author I will cut her some slack".

But NO- she has tons of books out so, sorry, no mercy now...
It introduces too many characters at once and with no time to get to know those characters before the story moves on. Problem with doing that- it makes me not care about following them into future books, which hey! Seems to be what is happening with a series planned.

Heads UP- Irritating spoilers ahead:

Who volunteers to be a surrogate but is all of a sudden- No I'm not ready to be a mother?

Who wants to hear the science behind the sunburn balm? The berries and the bark- really?

It seems like a good world, did anyone else find it a little too convenient that the whole ALIEN planet already spoke English as the common language??
I get that they were heading towards the women having their DNA from past Earth visitations so they can reproduce with them but it was a little too convenient.

And she was jumping into bed with 2 guys within 24 hours- too insta for me for it to feel legit.

Probably won't be following the series, it could be hot but not emotionally investing enough for me.
Left me a bit grumpy- can you tell??

Book one of Milly Taiden new series Nightflame Dragon.
Gianna travels to a distant plant that has alien shifters that are desperate for willing females to be surrogates to continue the species.
When Gianna arrives she’s told she and her new friends will be going to Wintervale Wolf Pack but when Gianna meets Voss the King of the Dragons and Azar his best friend and second in command things get complicated and Gianna and her friends are kidnapped by the Dragon Clan.
I really liked that the women in the first surrogate group are independent strong women with important or educated jobs before becoming surrogates and travelling to whole different galaxy.
Really enjoyed this whole book but I did think Gianna sighed to much which is why I didn’t give it 5⭐️
Definitely looking forward to more in series especially knowing that the other women didn’t go to Wintervale Pack. Great ending as well, only wish we could have do some of what they do in book.

Dragon's Jewel drops us into new worlds with new possibilities. This is the first in an exciting new series and if the rest are anything like this one I can’t wait.
This story is the tale of the selfless daughter made queen. She has not one but two sexy shifters wanting nothing more than her happiness. This adventure will keep you flipping pages to see what happens next.

Daeria is in dire need of females. After a devastating pathogen killed off the majority of its females, the world has requested help from Earth's females to help repopulate.

Gia needed the financial incentive offered by Daeria to help alleviate her mothers suffering from Alzheimer's. No longer recognised by her mother, who now cowered from her when she visited, Gia leaves Earth behind, hoping for a new and hopefully happy life.

Voss and Azar are lifelong friends. They know that they are destined to share a mate and when they find her within the first batch of Earth females. Pity these females are destined for the Wolf shifters. There is a reason why its good to be king though and Voss and his fellow dragon shifters make off with the females, who all seem to be mates for the other Dragons.

Things move fast for this trio and Daeria is very much like Earth, just with different technology and of course shifters! Power struggles and politics are a nasty business no matter what world you're on it would seem. The Wraiths are an enigmatic bunch and their king, well he needs to find a mate to cheer him up!
