Maybe it’s the fact that I’ve spent most of my time in the past few weeks at books stores or libraries, but this book made me feel like I was reading this at a bookstores surrounded by that smell of a freshly opened book. (P.s I read this on kindle… so that tells you something).

4.5 so I rounded up. It was just cozy and sweet, great way to escape my existential crisis. Also, [good]men are so cool I wish they were real

My heart is tingling and my eyes are watering and I'm so sad this book is over but so happy to have read it. Someone make this a movie for me to watch repeatedly until the end of time. Immediately.

Currently doing a jig. This was so good. I laughed out loud, I cried tears of sorrow and happiness. I’m booking flights to Ireland.

This was a really wholesome lovey dovey kind of read that's perfect for book nerds. ❤️
There are some pretty emotional bits, but overall, it's a great grumpy x sunshine kind of love story. The banter between Kieran and Emily is perfect throughout the whole story which I loved!
My only "complaint" is the situation with Emily's mom. We know her mom is emotionally abusive, and Emily has to set some pretty strong boundaries with her. Midway through the story after those boundaries are set her mom just disappears. Emily never brings her back up which I found weird.

Overall, I think it's a pretty good summertime read!

I thought this had a slow start, a pretty good middle and an excellent final third that raised a 3 star book to a solid for stars. It's books like these that make me hesitant to DNF books.

Unlike that last from com this one was great! I usually always rate these a 3⭐ because, while good, they are all pretty similar. However, occasionally, I will come across one that stands out. This book definitely did that!

First, it takes place in Ireland, which I love. Also, the female main character suffers from a similar anxiety disorder as me, so I related to her immediately. But this book really tackled tough topics like grief, narcissistic parents, and conquering fears. I truly loved it.

The end of this book made me cry, and I'm not sure I've ever done that with a rom com before. I listened to this as an audio book, but will be getting the physical copy to add to my personal library!
