RIP Peach Flower House, I was so lucky to grab these physical copies before the shutdown!
I liked it! Some great world building and awesome monsters, unfortunately I think the translation lost me too often, it was a bit difficult for me to fully understand what was happening.
Lu Feng, your on my suspicious as fuck list! What was that drug? Also I fully theorise that he is not human either, another xenogenic hiding in plain sight! I think that would be such a cool twist, but then his mother being biological kinda ruins that theory :(
The relationship to me was a bit, underdeveloped? I won’t write it off straight away, there’s still a whole other book! But so far, I’m having a hard time believing An Zhe actually does care? I need some more human feelings from the mushroom man!
Not the worst, not the best! Will pick up the final volume soon :)

I liked the world building even though I'm not a big sci-fi reader (especially about big monster bugs).
The characters were bland and the romance was almost inexistant.
For someone who has read a lot of danmei/BL/MM novels (or just romance), I was quite disappointed with it.
And honestly, having a character that doesn't know what human emotions are, matched with a super frigid guy (that kind of doesn't know what human emotions are) was not the best match for a ''romance''.
Still glad I've read it though. I was immersed in the world.

if you ignore actual rules of physics, this book is wonderful and I'm deeply, madly in love with lu feng's character.

SUCH a good novel! I´m writing this review while keeping both Vol.1 and Vol.2 in mind. SO good! The setting is unique, the characters are interesting and the story gripping. It managed to be both lighthearted and incredibly tense at the same time. I felt both peaceful and anxious while reading ... I really enjoyed it! If you like Sci-Fi, dystopian (though not Hunger Games vibes, more like... "the world is done for and we are struggeling to live as humanity") or Danmei then give this one a read! I really, really love An Zhe!! An Zhe grew from being just a little mushroom to becoming/understanding what being a human is like. Meanwhile Lu Feng also underwent his own growth and transformation ... from being the judge who killed all "Others" to protect humanity, to protecting this little mushroom that he grew to love ... Ah, i really really enjoyed this book!

It's amazing!!!! I devoured this book that I thought that it wasn't even healthy anymore, but I loovved everything the characters and how there development, how the world changed, the details how the base was build (for some reason I find this soo interesting, because it's written in so much details like how they thought of everything so that nothing can hurt humankind and many other factors)
