I've had An Zhe my little mushroom boye for 3 days but if anything happened to him...
Genuinely, this is so joyful in a super cool scifi kind of way. Best non-human protagonist. I cannot wait for the next volume.

4.5 estrellas.

I love the way Lu Feng opens up, smiles as he waits for An Zhe but am utterly confused what book/vol 2 wil hold bc An Zhe did get his spore at the VERY end. 🥺🙉

I've read this book twice now and I probably loved it even more the second time (although i did forgett a lot).
It was the first danmei I had read in the past and it opened a whole new world of reading to me. And even now when I've read some other danmeis it's one of my favorites.

Fucking finally a 5 star book in october lmao 😭

Oh this book is so good! This is actually the first danmei that i ever read and it's already gold!

This book honestly is how you should be writing sci fi dystopian fantasy with romance! The world building is amazing (remind me the times i enjoy biology class in HS) and the romance made me roll on the floor, kicking feet in the air and screaming on my pillow!

The book follows An Zhe in a dystopian world where humans are getting infected to become monster and Lu Feng, The Arbiter who has the right to kill anyone who he sense is infected.

And our main character An Zhe is not what he seems...

Anw read this book if your looking good sci fi dystopian book to read!

Oh my gosh before I get into spoilers can I just say I was not expecting to be obsessed with this danmei as I am right now!? Like I don’t read a lot of sci fi esc books but damn! This danmei delivered 🍄‍🟫

I was so captivated with the world and the how the system worked in this danmei I was never lost and was hella easy to get through (at least for me it may be different for you.)
I could imagine the scenes in this danmei because so detailed and the time just kept moving and yeah it may be slow but it builds up for the shit coming your way trust me!

We get introduced to An Zhu right off the bat (well technically both An Zhu’s,) and I figured I would adore his character because he’s a damn mushroom!! And he’s honestly just there to get back his spore and leave the humans but nope he’s roped in for the long run thanks to Lu Feng who has stolen his spore and is always running into throughout the city.

Of course now judgement day has risen again and the humans are basically screwed and this time though it’s much worse towards the end with the magnetic poles being down at the other base thanks to the monsters. Lu Feng obviously goes because he has nothing to lose, but really we all know he does in a way since we see him interact with An Zhu so many times it’s the little gestures!!!

I can’t wait to read the next volume because I have so many thoughts on where it can go, and of course see how An Zhu will be now that he has his spore and is starting to have feelings for Lu Feng/ understanding more with humans? 👀
