This book is everything I've been looking for.

A dystopian world, action packed from the very first page till the last one. An interesting plot, full of twists and turns. Endearing and well-build characters, the genuine sweet moments they share.

And An Zhe. I would do anything for An Zhe. Someone needs to give him all the potato soup of the world right now.

I wasn't expecting this to be as good as I found it. But it was, I can see why it won an award. I don't read a lot of SciFi books since I have a hard time getting into them. I'm so glad I took a chance and bought it. My only warning would be you're going to want to read this in one sitting.

An excellent different read than what I usually go for. It is definitely very dark in the sense of the apocalyptic world it is set in. Humanity is at its lowest, and death is constantly happening throughout the book. An Zhe is so wonderful and precious. There is not a lot of romance in this volume, but I can see it developing later on. For the moment there is too much going on for both of them for love to happen. I will be reading the next volume and am intrigued by what will happen.
