This book formed who I am today as a person

I honestly found this so delightful, reminded me a lot of Wizards of Earthsea. This would have had a profound effect on me as a kid.

Going back and reading some of the stories that started my love of books is so nostalgic and fun. Tamora is a wonderful writer.

This is one of the books I read in my formative years that I've reread several times since. While red-haired twins with purple eyes (and magic!) has become a fantasy cliche, it was still magical when I was reading this series. This series worked as a good stepping stone for me to Mercedes Lackey's original series (The Queen's Own, The Last Herald Mage) about the Heralds of Valdemar.
