While this was written for young adults, I still enjoyed it and will look for the others in the series. I would absolutely love to have similar books written for an older audience. :)
What a pleasant surprise!!! The only reason this isn't five star is because the writing was a "young"ish, if that makes sense? J/k, it's five because I love the characters!!!

I'm in a bit of a rereading mood this week. Alanna has been a favorite for years, and I loved it just as much or more this time through.
I laughed several times at how silly she was, but she was never annoyingly silly. She reminded me a little bit of myself at different ignorant times during my life.
I love strong female leads, and I love these books. I plan to reread them all as soon as I can.

Listened to the audiobook and it made my day so much more enjoyable. I'm a little devastated that I never read this when I younger. It would have steered me in better directions sooner.
