Okay so.. DNF 90%.

Violet felt plain. Cole didn’t have as much of a character arc as I was expecting. I read the back and forth story, but didn’t care to see how it ended up.

Fell very short for me but she writes a good ~~~scene~~~ if you catch my drift

Usually i need a second to gather my thought but this time i definitely dont. While it was a slow start to the book, the second half more than made up for this. Violet is a queen who quite rightly left her bothers who 100% smothered her when she was at home (coming from reading chestnut springs series first) however i didnt expect her to post nudes on the internet though. But i guess whatever builds your confidence amd was a pure confident queen. I loved the forced proximty and how growly cole was, he was deffo grumpy. I feel like violet discovering coles secret was a game changer for their relationship and definitely brought them closer together due to cole trusting her so much. I can really understand the 3rd act break up in this book, its understandable for cole to feel that way, at least i think he does. But he like needs to be kissing billies ass because her idea to make it up to violent was genisus and so heartwarming. Love them as a couple, definitely want to see more of them.

Probably would've been higher if it wasn't completely unrealistic to
win every single race,
and her grudge with her family was explained a little more. Overall a cute, simple slow burn romance with a third act breakup.
