I adore this book. The emotion, twists and turns, the inner monologues, the angst, the tension, all of it! I listened on audio, and I highly recommend! It was phenomenal! Whether it was fate or coincidence, I think we get to decide! ;)

Wow, what a book.
Theo and Megan.
She’s new in town, widowed and buying an old run down inn, determined to revive it.
Theo, mute after a tragic accident, who fatefully signs on as her contractor.

Slow burn tension, angst and longing. This was everything I needed and more. It made my heart hurt and I had to stop several times to breathe properly. It stole my breath and made me cry (the restaurant scene with the omelette and lime pie).

Not only was it poignant and sad, it was also witty/funny at the right moments.

My issue is the ending. Theo is incorrectly diagnosed as schizophrenic and put on meds when it turns out he’s Cass (Megan’s dead husband) reincarnated after the accident. Before meeting her, he has memories of her and an obsession with her. Does she actually love Theo or is it only because he’s Cass?

Quotes:
“… but I do know that everything happens for a reason. Even the bad things. It's all part of a bigger plan we can't understand. God is the greatest force of love in the universe."
- “He didn’t bring you flowers, did he.”
- The waitress arrives with two plates. She sets one in front of me, the other in front of Theo. Both plates hold Denver omelets with extra bacon on the side.

As always, I find myself trying to figure out what twists and turns are going to occur in any JTG book. I loved every moment of the book until we got to the very end…. It felt rushed and unfinished! But overall, I love JTG’s writing, she sucks you in from the first page!

Well that was a journey…

Honestly this is probably the worst book I have ever, and will ever read in my life. You’re telling me the main guy is a f&/):)& reincarnation of her dead husband disguised as schizophrenia? What kind of fucking sick shit is that? I have never regretted finishing a book so bad in my life
