Every now and again, I need a bingeable, kindle unlimited kinda romance that I speed through (and tend to give higher ratings to👀). Not to ignore though, this was a new angle for me. Reincarnation.
I kinda wish that wasn’t the ending, I live for drama, so I think I would’ve preferred some sort of amnesia, secret twin sort of storyline, however the writing was good enough that I still found it tremendously enjoyable. Whilst simultaneously being heartbreaking.
I will say that Megan’s ‘not like other girls’ attitude quickly grated on me so I was apprehensive to sympathise with her at times.
The only things that were missing were Theo’s pov and it being, I don’t know, maybe 100 pages longer. Nevertheless, a solid read.

I won’t give away any spoilers because I enjoyed the journey it took me on. You do figure out what is happening about 20% in but you will continue reading because you’re gonna be so intrigued about how the author will tell this story and curious about how it will end. When I read the author notes in the back matter that she almost had the book end in a different direction (I do not trust any ending by JT Geissinger after Pen Pal, Perfect Strangers and The Last Vampire - all books I loved) I was thrilled that she changed her mind. Because I was already a blubbering mess reading this book - any other ending would’ve left me broken.
This was a beautiful story about a love that can span two lifetimes. Really well written with unforgettable characters. I’ll be thinking about this one for a long while!

I love the way the story unraveled! Truly hooked from the first sentence to the last! But....
