One lifetime wasn't enough to love you
This was a rollercoaster, I really felt the connection between the MCs and then add in the intrigue and I was hooked. Emotional but easy to read. Also so glad Geissinger didn't follow through with the original plan she mentioned in the note at the end or this would've taken a sharp dive to 1*.

I was totally on board until the very end. I don't want to reveal what turned me off as it's what the book spends its duration building up to. I didn't want a different outcome exactly, I just wanted it handled differently.
It was a beautiful story though.
This author does banter dialogue better than any author I've ever read. Every book makes me laugh.
If you've read Perfect Strangers before this one, you'll be on edge the entire time because you know anything goes. Rest assured, you're safe. Ok, safe-ish.

This was what I expected but not at the same time. What I thought from reading the description was that Theo was actually Megan's husband who hadn't really died but because of some crazy consipiracy, had been in hiding all this time...like maybe he was hiding from the mob but finally things were resolved and he could come out of hiding. But no. Instead, it was a reincarnation story. Theo and Cass, Megan's dead husband were both T-boned by drunk drivers on the same day 5 years ago, only Cass died and Theo didn't....this was a super-angsty, slowburn of a magical romance....you just have to believe in second chances where your love extends beyond physical bodies.
I would have given this book 4 stars but I had mixed feelings about where the author took the book. I loved her characters and dialogue and half her plot. Theo was one of the most intriguing characters ivy met in a long time.

I shouldn’t have really read this one as paranormal is not a favourite sub genre of mine. I did like the writing style and the characters. I’d like to try one of this authors that’s plain old contemporary
