A good ending to the original dragonets of prophecy story. I wasn't sure what to expect with this series, but I was happily surprised. I look forward to reading more books in the series.
There were just like,, a few very plot-relevant moments that were just far too convenient for my taste. Which is unfortunate because Sunny is a fantastic character in this first series---up there with Glory, even. Sutherland has a talent for creating not-straightforward (although I wouldn't necessarily say complex) characters that are accessible for the average kid. She also has a talent for making a character seem one way throughout all the books (Sunny is a ditz) and then complicating them in their POV book (Sunny is a very smart dragon held back by her friends' low expectations of herself). Also I love the "Band of Outlaws with a Tough Leader Who Has a Heart of Gold" trope, I'd die for it, and that's like a third of this book so.

From the perspective of Sunny. Definitely my favorite book of the series. The character development in this book is captivating.
