The last book in this arc of the series focuses on Sunny, the Sandwing. I find it both ironic and wonderful that the dragonet that complains about being pushed off to the side is left for last out of all the characters. The book has to pull double duty as a way to wrap up this arc as well as be the showcase book for Sunny. I think it walks that line fairly well as Sunny's whole story focus is a crisis of faith in the prophecy. She works through these emotions and reconciles them by going off on her own to try and make the prophecy come true herself. And the amazing thing is, she just about does it too. Without spoiling anything, I'm happy to say that at least one of the cliches I had complained about in a previous book is addressed and resolved in a way that I think is good for kids to see. Sunny and her mother's relationship dynamic is such a lovely thing to see after so many of the other dragonets are spurned by their parents as well. My biggest complaints are that the major conflict is resolved in a little quicker fashion than I thought would happen and the end of the book feels more like it's setting up for the next series of books before it's finished telling this one. All in all though a solid end to the first arc. I know I'm personally happier knowing there's fiction out there starring dragons that kids are enjoying. Getting to experience that childlike wonder of "man, dragons are so cool" again was well worth the investment.
Sunny is one of the favorite POV characters out of the five to read from. The is just so happy and kind. She is not afraid to do what needs to get done. She is not completely naive person. She knows some dragons maybe bad she just cares about others so much that she doesn’t like seeing others get hurt. She also struggled about no one listening or taking her seriously. I was a great choice to make Sunny the POV character for the final book because she was the one that was crushed the most about finding out the prophecy isn’t real. Sunny thought the reason she looked real was because of the prophecy. She put so much faith in the prophecy.
I love that Sunny and Starflight didn’t end up together. I feel like we weren’t shown enough for me to ship them. We were just constantly told that Starflight likes Sunny. In Starflight’s book he is constantly thinking about her.
Spoiler
I really loved taking Sunny's POV and this book really took the reader on an interesting journey. Great new characters added and very exciting ending.

Why did this little book about dragons almost make me cry?
A fitting ending to the Pyrrhia War Saga. We now focus on Sunny. Like the others, she also meets her parents and faces a lot of disappointment with one. With the Big Reveal from the previous story, the other dragonets have decided to realign their priorities to dealing with the Nightwings as refugees in the Rainforest. Sunny gets other ideas when a small group of rogue Nightwings lead her into the heart of the Sandwing Realm.
Sunny decides that she will end this war one way or another, especially after a frenemy leaks some important info. This leads to inevitable struggles alone. So when Sunny meets back up with her life-long friends, she inspires them to carry out a bold plan to end the war with representatives of all Pyrrhia’s dragon tribes present!
Just an enjoyable end to this cycle, with hints at the next one coming up. These stories are great ways to illustrate how friends learn, work, play and trust with each other.
