That ending was a bit convenient. There was so many "peripeties" in this one, I feel like Sunny got so much more happen with her than the others, for some reason.

I have always identified more with Sunny than any of the other dragonets (though I guess Clay, the diplomat and protector, might be more of what I aspire to be), and so I was very glad to finally hear the story from her point of view. I can’t say too much without spoilers, but I will say that I really enjoyed this novel. Many of the things that Sunny says and feels about how the other dragons seem to think of her (always happy, so therefore not caring deeply about anything) really touched me. I thought her response to that and her reaction to Morrowseer’s revelation were both true and fantastic.

I’m so happy about Sunny’s heritage, too!

I shed a few tears at the end.

( re - read )

SUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's all that needs to be said.
