We start out with Cory. What does he do for a living? What has happened? What 'talk' does he have with his sister at her husband's game? I like Natalie a lot! She has some pretty witty comebacks! Oh my, this has to be the most intense book of the series so far. Holy Smokes! The Rebels fans had me hating them from the get-go! Why does Cory start getting called Boss by his teammates? I laughed for a while when I read that. Can Cory do anything to stop the fans from what they are doing? Read and see!

I honestly was nervous about The Trade. I have read The Change up and The Line up (yes I am aware that I am reading this series completely out of order) and both of them were kind of a let down, especially the Line Up. I was about to give up on Meghan Quinn but oh my god... The Trade... this is amazing.
I am beyond shocked at how good this book is. Now I will say that I did listen to the audiobook this time instead of reading my physical copy. I don't know if that changed anything. I don't know if maybe Quinn's books are better when you listen to them but whatever it is, The Trade is absolutely amazing.
First of all, the steam is there in full force. This book is so hot that I was squeezing my legs at my work desk. It is NSFW and I work from home. Quinn hit the target when it comes to sex scenes in this book. 10/10.
Cory and Natalie, my absolute dream. Cory is so extremely hot that I have added him to a new list of mine, move aside book boyfriends, it is time for book HUSBANDS. Cory and Natalie's relationship was so adorable and I loved that Quinn took us through the full progression, the ups and downs, and so much more. A lot of the times in books it ends with the big love confession and we never get to see the aftermath of the couple being a couple. Well that is not the case with this book. Without giving too much away, expect to see Cory and Natalie as a full on couple and more.
This is being added to my favorites of 2021. I loved it.

2.5⭐️- the third act breakup and Cory’s actions were so out of character with who he was during the entire first 75% of the book. It really ruined the book for me.
This series just keeps getting better. This story focused on Cory Potter who is connected to other players in this series. He's Milly's brother (from The Dugout) and has a major crush on Natalie, Jason's (from the Line Up) sister.
He sees her at a function, is immediately smitten, but then finds out she's married. Only, she's not. She's going through a divorce and is struggling to find her way. When the entire gang heads out on a tropical vacation, the two are thrown together and forge a friendship....then things get complicated. They hook up, end up together, only to have Cory majorly blow it with Natalie.
This has the typical Meghan Quinn humor, angst, connections between this and other books in this series, and appearances by other characters in prior releases. I found myself laughing out loud at times.

Unfortunately this one just didn't reel me in. Neither character were doing it for me!
